TauPDFTerms of use
1. Agreement
By installing or using TauPDF you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, do not install or use the program.
2. Licence
You receive a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to install and use TauPDF. The program is licensed, not sold; all rights not expressly granted stay with the developer.
3. Free version, trial and Pro
The free version lets you view, search and print PDF files, use bookmarks and rotate pages. After installation you get a limited trial of the Pro features. When it ends, Pro features require a paid licence. The length of the trial and the price are shown in the program or on the website and may change for new customers.
4. Paid licences
A paid licence is valid for the period and the number of computers stated when you buy it. A licence key may be used only by you or your organisation. You may move a seat to another computer by releasing it in the program.
5. What you may not do
You may not sell, rent or share your licence key, bypass the licence checks, or copy and redistribute the program except as the law expressly allows.
6. Activation
To check your plan, the program contacts our server as described in the Privacy page. We may suspend Pro on a device or a key if these terms are broken.
7. Updates
The program downloads updates automatically and installs them after you confirm.
8. Your documents
Your files remain yours. The program processes them on your computer and does not send them to us.
9. Third-party components
TauPDF includes open-source components distributed under their own licences, which are listed on the Licences page.
10. No warranty
The program is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind. Keep copies of important documents before changing them.
11. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, the developer is not liable for lost data, lost profits or indirect damages arising from the use of the program.
12. Changes
We may change these terms. The current version is always published on this page.
